Chicago, IL is a beautiful city to get married in with plenty of locations for photos. These two decided to start their wedding day getting ready at 2 separate downtown Chicago apartments. They had simple mornings with their closest friends and family taking time getting ready and soaking in all of the emotions. Emma and Steven both wrote letters for each other to exchange the morning of along with a meaningful gift.
After getting ready separately that morning, we decided to do a first look at the South Garden in Downtown Chicago in front of this beautiful fountain. There were little to no people there so it was a secluded spot for this intimate moment. We stayed afterwards and took most of the bridal party photos there as well as some bride and groom photos as well before going to our next location.
After leaving South Garden we drove 2 miles to a skyline view of the city beside The Adler Planetarium. There was plenty of parking so it was a quick walk to take these photos. This gave a great view of the city itself and we had plenty of room to get wide angle photos.
After finishing up most of the bridal portraits, we made our way to the ceremony location at Bond Chapel at the University of Chicago. This campus has some beautiful architecture for photos and the chapel for the ceremony was stunning. Emma and Steven gathered some of their closest friends and family to celebrate them getting married.
Following the beautiful ceremony, we moved to Morgan’s on Fulton for their reception. They rented out the upper level of this location and had it decorated with a classy yet elegant look. It was spacious, allowed for great lighting, and an amazing view of downtown.
